Bitpay: BITCOIN 2022 360° ACTIVATION

COMPANY: BitPay

COMPANY PROFILE: BitPay was founded in 2011, while Bitcoin (BTC) was still in its infancy. The founders saw the potential for BTC to revolutionize the financial industry, making payments faster, more secure, and less expensive on a global scale. They are pioneers building blockchain payment technology to transform how businesses and people send, receive, and store money around the world.

DETAILS:
Bitcoin 2022, the largest conference focused on Bitcoin, had 25,000 attendees held in Miami, FL from April 6–9, 2022. I designed the entire experience - booth, merch, video, and social posts that hyped BitPay's presence and a big announcement that was to come at the event.  At the conference, BitPay’s Co-Founder announced the launch of Lightning Network payments, which offers customers more choice and merchants more ways to be paid leveraging blockchain technology.


NADEX: promotional infographics

CLIENT: Nadex
ROLE: Art Director & Designer. Responsible for design, layout, and production from concept through completion. Illustrations are a combo of edited stock vectors and new drawings.
USAGE: Business Insider sponsored content, Facebook, e-mail campaigns, landing pages for Forex Factory, Babypips, and Trading View advertisements.

DETAILS: North American Derivatives Exchange™ (Nadex) is the largest exchange in the U.S offering short-term trading opportunities. Regulated by the CFTC, Nadex offers different and innovative ways to participate in the markets. Since Nadex’s products (binary options, call spreads, and touch brackets) are unique to the finance industry, many traders are not familiar with the brand and do not understand how/why their products are traded. In order to pique the interest of traders, build brand awareness, and relay product information, Nadex asked me to create brand and product-specific infographics. Each infographic was directed to a unique landing page that prompted viewers to open an account.


BITPAY x DOSH: REWARDs program announcement

DETAILS:
In late 2022 thanks to a new partnership with Dosh, when spending with the BitPay Card, users started to see automatic crypto cash back rewards add up directly in the BitPay app. These animated ads were created to announce the partnership, subtly showcase participating retailers, and feature different crypto artwork options for the card.


NADEX: YouTube thumbnails and Video intros

CLLIENT: Nadex
ROLE: Art Director & Designer. Responsible for developing a new look for YouTube thumbnails and video intros from concept to completion. 
BACKGROUND: In mid-2018, Nadex wanted to embrace the changing face of the financial industry. With more women and POC taking an interest in trading, Nadex saw a need to adopt an inclusive marketing approach. They called upon Motion, a full-service agency, to overhaul the company’s brand. During the initial stages of the process, I met with Motion to discuss branding rationale and provide feedback regarding the direction. The initial campaign that resulted from the rebrand was a true team effort, with Motion and I working in tandem to create materials for a Jan 1, 2019 launch.

DETAILS: Since Nadex did not have a cohesive look for social media channels, I was tasked with creating thumbnails and video intros for their most popular YouTube sequences. The last image in the gallery below shows the difference between their original thumbnails (no consistency) vs the refresh.

DETAILS:
The bread and butter of my position at BitPay was digital ad creation. Since the company was testing out which cryptocurrencies and product features yielded the most interest from customers, each campaign had multiple versions of each design. The ads below are some samples of what I created in my six months with the company.
